Dell U2515h Driver For Mac
What's actually happening is a problem with the signal sent from the Mac to the monitor. The Mac is using the wrong color space, and it screws up font rendering, somehow. Forcing the color space to RGB, by using the patch-edid.rb script, has completely altered the font rendering on my external display, from 'crunchy' to smooth. I'm not sure when this will be released, but I'm intrigued by it. I've been trying to decide between getting a 27-inch 1440p display or a 24-inch 2160p display, but this 25-inch 1440p display seems like a great compromise between the two.

It's already certified with Energy Star. I'm not sure how far in advance of release this typically happens. Here is what TFT Central had to say about the panel earlier this year. Managed to get one of these ordered today for $449 US dollars plus tax! But man, Dell's website is such an absolute mess. After five duplicate order acknowledgements, each separated by about an hour, I've finally managed to get an order placed successfully.
Apparently the first order didn't go through for some reason, so the sales rep I spoke to was able to put it through for me successfully. My 2011 27' iMac is on it's last leg, so this, along with a Mac Mini, is going to be my replacement system. I've been pretty spoiled by my iMac's display, so I'm hoping this measures up. Expected delivery date is 1/22, so if I happen to get it in hand before anyone else here, I'd be glad to post some thoughts. I'm assuming the audio out port on these monitors outputs any HDMI audio a set of attached speakers. Is that correct? Click to expand.I'll see what I can do, just gotta install a game on my Mac then. Not sure whats up with that, to be honest, it being cheaper here than in the US I mean. That price is including 25% salestax. The Norwiegan kroner is weak atm, but it's still very cheap. Update in case anyone in the Nordics are reading this: On the the monitor costs 4000 kr, but sells it for 2800 kr, for some crazy reason. My U2515H was delivered yesterday.

I'll post some more detailed thoughts and pictures later, but my first impressions are extremely positive. Dell actually accidentally sent me two monitors (thanks to the order fiasco I described above), so I'll probably open both and pick the best of the two. But the first one I opened actually looks really solid. Doesn't seem to have any dead/stuck pixels, and the backlight is reasonably uniform, with it being a tad brighter in the corners. It's fairly minor though, and very much acceptable IMO.
