My guess is the reason is low demand. The current philosophy is 'less (clutter) is more (useful).' Microsoft has a feature suggestion site for PowerPoint for Mac here: I did a quick search and did even see that anyone has requested this functionality, so I encourage you to post your request in the feature request forum. Encouraging others to vote for your request would help get attention paid to it. I am an unpaid volunteer and do not work for Microsoft. 'Independent Advisors' work for contractors hired by Microsoft.

'Microsoft Agents' work for Microsoft Support.

Originally posted by: PKI Ortega When you copy any object from ChemDraw (Mac) and paste (default) in MS Word 2016, it pastes an MOL text version of that object instead of the original object view. O Workaround: Use the 'Paste Special >> PDF option in MS Word to get the original object view pasted. This PDF object can be copied back to ChemDraw by maintaining all ChemDraw object properties. These instructions do not work. After copying from ChemDraw (15.1), Paste and Paste Special are not available in MS Word (15.23).

Edited: 7/7/2016 at 2:18 PM by koverly. To follow up on my post of 7/7/2016. I submitted a support ticket to Perkin-Elmer where I described the problem as ' After selecting and copying a structure in ChemDraw, when I switch to Word or PowerPoint (Office 2016 for Mac), neither 'Paste' nor 'Paste Special.' Commands are available.' I got a reply that said ' There should not be any issue if you are using ChemDraw 15.1 with Microsoft Office 2016 for Mac.' And I was directed to the FAQ that addresses a problem where pasting into Word gives a series of numbers and characters instead of a structure. What do you have to do to get meaningful support from Perkin-Elmer????? Free

Sep 25, 2017 - Well this does not need to be the case. You can easily copy and paste multiple slides from one PowerPoint presentation to another. Clicking on each slide you wish to copy whilst holding down the command (on mac) button. PowerPoint Keyboard Shortcuts and Sequences: PowerPoint 2016, 2013, 2011, 2010, 2007 and 2003 for Windows PowerPoint 2016 and 2011 for Mac PowerPoint Online for Windows and Mac. Have you ever used keyboard shortcuts and sequences in PowerPoint? Or are you a complete keyboard aficionado? Do you want to learn about some new shortcuts?

My college pays a not insignificant amount of $$$ for a site license. Is it too much to expect the software to work as advertized or to get useful support? Perkin-Elmer, are you listening???????? This solution just simply doesn't work.

I just installed version 15.1.0.144 and it is unable to copy anything into the clipboard. It only copies and pastes within chemdraw, and when you try to paste into any other software in the computer (Preview, Pages, Word, Powerpoint) it just shows a grey paste option. Cmd+ctl+V in Word does not work either, because the clipboard in empty. I am not sure what update you have offered with v 15.11 and what settings the users that managed to make it work had in their computers, but this is clearly not a solution to a big part of the community. I'm running OsX 10.11.6 on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013) with a 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7 processor, if this is of any help.

As usually, poor job by Perkin Elmer keeping ChemDraw up to date and functional once it is released.
