Jul 7, 2014 - i'm not install driver tp-link model:TL-WN727N IN Back track 53r. Best external monitors for mac. -x /sbin/wpa_action ]; then exit 0 fi SELF=action_wpa COMMAND= IFPLUGD_IFACE=. [ 25.316732] pcnet32: PCnet/PCI II 79C970A at 0x2000, MAC eth0> assigned. And the version the OS (BackTrack?) is based on is mostly outdated. TP-LINK TL-WN727N Wireless Adapter Driver free download. Get the latest version now. The best experience for video streaming or internet calls.

Code: Bus 001 Device 002: ID 148f:7601 Ralink Technology, Corp. The only Linux driver for it is the proprietary driver that Ralink (Mediatek) provides: You will have to download and compile the driver manually. Instructions should be in the package you'll download. By the way, neither your system is an Asus, nor the OS in question is Ubuntu, and the version the OS (BackTrack?) is based on is mostly outdated. So your question is in no way suitable for this thread.

I'll request the mods to move your posts to its own thread in a relevant section, but I suggest you consider using an OS version that is currently supported (for example, maybe Kali Linux based on a Ubuntu version, or Ubuntu itself to get proper support here). EDIT: I forgot that I had already written instructions for installing the proprietary driver here: Last edited by varunendra; July 13th, 2014 at 08:49 AM. Reason: Added installation instructions link.

Hi there Pete My! What a nightmare out there in internet land, there are so many confusing pages out there relating to wireless cards for the mac. I don't know what your budget is but what I would advise if you are close to an apple store, go in and ask at the genius bar for their advice, they are always able to give you very good advice. The one piece of advice they may give you is to search out an airport card on the web and put it into your G5, it could cost up to $80 and you will probably need an airport card holder as well. There is a website called www.applemacparts.com One piece of kit that I have seen that a few people have bought is available at it appears to be mac compatible and costs about $39.99 and is in stock. I would check out their returns policy before buying just in case it does not work. Not sure where you are located I've done the search on US websites because most of the users that come on here appear to be from the States, I'm located in Scotland so hopefully if you come from somewhere other than the States you'll be able to convert the costs.

Hope this helps. Jim Hi there Pete My! What a nightmare out there in internet land, there are so many confusing pages out there relating to wireless cards for the mac.
